At Cleo Rooftop in Melbourne, friends of the brand gathered to celebrate the MAKU’s first ready-to-wear release, The Scarf Collection. Hosted by founder Maku, the long lunch marked an exciting milestone. It was the brand’s first official event and a moment to bring the MAKU world to life in person.

Guests were welcomed with orange jelly shots before taking their seats at an understated tablescape of florals and fruit, capturing the playful yet refined spirit of the Melbourne fashion label. A custom dessert by Holy Sugar, shaped as though it had been picked straight from a lemon tree, added a final touch to the afternoon.

Among those joining us were Cat Spanti, Jordan Simek and Michelle Banares, who gathered with friends of the brand to celebrate the launch over a relaxed rooftop lunch.

The event also marked the introduction of The Seaside Collection, MAKU’s latest ready-to-wear release. Designed in Melbourne, the collection continues the brand’s design-led approach to modern Australian fashion, bringing together expressive colour, art-led details and pieces made for life by the water.
